I think 20 is the age that you become an adult, as from 13 to 19 the spelling has the word ending "teen". ThIs is the shortened version of teenager, and this is the age group before adult.
I think 16 is the age when you can become ann adult. I feel this way because you are aloud to join the army when your 16. This means you can hold a gun and fight for your country. Also 16 feels like the right age when you can do a wider range of activities and things by themselves; like getting married and living in your own house/flat.
I think 19 is the age you become a adult because at 16 your aloud to join the army have your own house and when you are 18 you are aloud to drink and smoke that takes you to 19 where you aren`t prohibited from anything.
I think someone should become an adult at the age of 21 because at the age of 18 they only start doing things on there own like living by themselves.
